my 100th post and it's about..?BAND CAMP!!!!!!!!!!!!!
went sch at like 7 to wait for kris to come deco cake(it's no secret anymore) and then they came very late so had to use th choco drops i brought since they can't get anything.then go put in housecraft room and i played with my fake blood for a tiny little bit.then we fall in then go put our stuff in theatrette/check in.then i short term memory dunno much else of what happen.overture and AR as per usual and cos sushan not arnd i hve to take over her chimes part.den etc etc, lunch. beehoon.then play again i think and then had games for a while.
den me and kris ran to get th cake before dinner,then very sneakily/very obviously tried to bring it somewhere alicia wouldn't see. i was behind holding cake,yifang and kris were in front hiding me.and guess wat?we were in the HARD COURT DOIN THIS.they alrd started eating so ok luh,got less ppl notice.but then phoebe noticed us being so obvious and all and asked what we doing.we explained wat was up and she took th cake into th band room.WHEW!RELAX!but then i dropped th candle for th cake lor....
then after dinner we celebrated alicia's birthday.and cut th cake.conductors,teachers in charge, section members all got.yuri says th choco drops taste like plastic,eliz realised it was from th hershey's cocoa,ms tan realised i baked th cake and alicia told her i had cookies before but didn't bring it to band.haha.ms tan was like how come nvr bring for band?wen i told her th class ate alot she was like u mus save some say this is for band one!haha
then we played captain's ball with ms tan,nadia,charmaine,yijun,phoebe,yifang,alicia,grace and i cant really rmb.as usual i can't catch th ball properly so after a few misses i was sent to defend th ball from th other team.i hit th ball away from grace a few times.YAY!haha.in the end i think was a draw.then go back band room,i not sure if we played in band room first but we did circle of sound in hard court and they turn on th stadium lights for us to read score.ms tan and mr wong told us we shouldn't expect conducting in circle of sound and ppl should take lead and that we should listen to other sections.
then go back in and play a bit more then shower.me and yifang rush like hell but then not sure which shower we are spsd to use so got the one near green lodge.all got shower.i think it's better than efl lor.more shiok.and i was one of th first to get out.haha.theni played with my fake blood some more to show alicia then kristal go and say i cut myself with ms sim arnd so yijun came over and was like asking like wat happen,pain anot,go wash and stuff like that while i was laughing and telling her it's fake.almost kena scolded by ms sim for that lor.then curfew and stuff.couln't sleep tho,on and off can't sleep properly
next day i can't rmb much again.breakfast,playing and stuff i dunno,then etc etc lunch.then we had to memorise scores and th wind players had to take out all their instrus for ms tan and mr wong to select th brand and model to use for SYF cos it affects tuning and stuff.then yijun asked alicia and me go clean up the cases with a vacuum but not use so we go borrow a cloth from th toilet to wipe.then halfway yijun ask us vacuum th shelves in band room.we sucked up smth metallic and a cleaning cloth.haha,UNINTENTIONALLY.then ya...all that stuff.th seniors pretended to be mannequins in the trombone shelves for a bit.haha.then there was fall in i think and then evbd brought their instrus back in.
we recorded AR.i tried to make my dynamics for tambourine more obvious but i noe my suspenders not loud enuf cos i unsure of wen to start rolling.actually okay luh,even without crash i start to noe wen to start to play and stuff.mr wong thinks i stare at my score too much but that's cos i feel safer counting my bars while looking at my score.but i did try to stare at it less.haha.
then we had BBQ!!!haha my group had me,yuri,clarie and xinyi trying to start th fire.i think in total we had about 10 fire starters thrown in.haha.very siao lor.got rain so we bring th thing near th round tables to fan and blow.twice th fire like go out completely but after a bit of vigourous fanning it just went on in like a second.overall.i WASNT FULL.but not starving so it's okay. was bored,went over to alicia's area where she was eating bananas,prompting yifang to say she like monkey like that wen yijun came over.guess what yijun said?hmmm,look like.and started to call her monkey.haha.then clean up.i was assigned to get rid of some f&n grape from some margerine.irritating it's like WATER.super hard to clean off.especially from th container itself.
then there was like some farewell stuff to graduating seniors.perc dun have,but we still had to do.then shower,me alicia n yifang ran to theatrette together then were too freaked out ot walk to th front and on th lights.but we did and went to th same toilet as th day b4 cos got shower. me and alicia were first,yifang took her time cos got ppl waiting and she want them to wait. then there was no curfew so eliz played confessions of a teenage drama queen.then all th other ppl were super noisy so we were SHHH-ing them cos we can't hear th movie.then me and alicia wanted to sleep but cannot cos they were still noisy.we got up to watch th end of the movie and tried to sleep again,but,stil noisy.alicia wondered if she threw a pillow over they would shut up, like in th jap animes.haha.but then after a fair amount of sshh-ing yijun came over to ask if we wanted to sleep(duh!) and asked if we would rather go to th other end of th room which was less noisy(no way),so she started shh-ing th band wen they got noisy.haha.managed to sleep even with the noise but slept better than th night before.
next day was clean up and prize presentation.
my grp and grp 6 had to pack th chairs and tables in rifle range,not a hard job,we were first to finish our job.then instru maintainence.alicia and stephanie polished her crash cymbals.shinier now,but alicia is still jealous of the brass players and saxophones' shiny instruments.laquered wad.of cos shiny and easier to make shiny than her cymbals.perc cleaned up our area and stuff, now we have a cosy corner.me and alicia assigned to vacuum band room and stuff.then reflections...i wrote some nonsense sounding reflections cos i couldnt think of anything to write.top 5 said that we must continue and not roll down th hill.phoebe used bukit timah hill,sherwei said BT hill very easy we must conquer mount everest and put our Splat there.haha. then go back theatrette pack up and dismissed.me,alicia,yifang and phoebe wanted to eat nutella and bread,so we did!haha.then ya,i cabbed to tiong with kris cos she wanted to.then blah blah...
To STC BAND,加油!!!we can do it for sure!we are already halfway up mount everest,we must not roll down or all th frostbite we got on th way will be pointless,yea?we can do this!if we continue and keep up our improvement ans standard,a gold in syf can be achieved!we already improved alot in band camp,normal pracs must be th same!!!!!!!GO STC BAND!!!
